How we gave an estate agent with great local presence the online presence to match
Best Gapp approached us several years ago as they recognised that their online image was not helping them to generate more business, despite their long-standing reputation in the local area. Our job was to increase their local visibility and update their dated and underperforming website.
The campaign proved to be very successful. However, with the increase in usage of mobile devices, we all agreed it was time not just for an update, but a complete redesign of the website.
We went back to the drawing board and planned the new website. It had to be mobile responsive, it had to promote all the services equally (and not just the properties for sale and let), and it had to encourage conversions while still ranking well for all the local search terms.
We designed and developed a new, improved mobile responsive website in WordPress, incorporating their property feed provided by Reapit. After performing a thorough keyword research, we re-optimised their main pages and created dedicated, optimised landing pages to improve ranking. Furthermore, we placed all the relevant tracking codes across the board to assess the results.
We relaunched our ongoing marketing campaign, including paid campaigns with Google, content marketing and ongoing SEO to gain a better local market share.
The comments and feedback our client got after the launch was very positive. Six months after the launch, organic rankings had increased by 10% when compared with the previous six months, while the number of enquiries increased by an impressive 50%.
We immediately saw a 17% increase in the number of people visiting the website through mobile devices, and this has continued to increase. Just six months after the launch of the new site, and with the help of the ongoing marketing campaign, we saw a further 44% increase in visitors through mobile devices, and a 73% increase in visitors through desktop devices.
