Best Estate Agent Awards in the UK

There are several estate agent awards out there, all with different categories, assessments and entry procedures.

So, which of these awards really matter for your agency?

And how do you know which to apply for?

We all know that winning a prestigious award can help boost the credibility of any estate or letting agency, so if you win, the benefits can be significant.

The best awards signal value to the end user – whether it’s a seller, landlord, buyer or tenant. If an award is well-known and reputable, it’ll make a world of difference if it’s displayed on your marketing for your clients to see.

This is important now more than ever before, because only 30% of consumers trust estate agents, according to a recent Propertymark survey.

An award could increase your credibility, bring in more clients and give you an edge over your competitors.

For that reason, we’ve compiled a list of the most prominent estate agent awards in the UK. You can browse this list to find the most reliable and distinguished awards, along with how to enter them. That way, you can easily put yourself forward for an award and better understand which ones are worth winning.

    The Negotiator Awards

The Negotiator offers awards to estate agencies on a national and local level. They invite a panel of experts to judge the entries (such as our MD Nelly Berova), while employing an independent company to ‘mystery shop’ some of the entrants. Any agency can enter the competition for free, though they must submit a detailed application online to support their entry. Two weeks before the award ceremony, the judges assess the shortlisted applications.

The judges are not paid, and two judges assess each award category. Additionally, they must declare any conflict of interest in advance of judging the awards. Entry is free, so entrants can be sure they’re not paying to win. The Negotiator offers a large selection of awards, and estate agents can enter themselves 35 different categories. There are awards for small, medium and large estate agencies as well as regional and national awards. Additionally, there are some very specific awards for the best website, residential auctioning service and marketing campaign.

    Best Estate Agent Guide Awards

The Best Estate Agent Guide (hosted at EA Masters) provides awards after an independent assessment of over 90% of UK estate agents. The scope of the investigation behind it makes it a highly prestigious award to win.  They search for award candidates, so applying is unnecessary. You must pay for the privilege if you qualify and want to display their award seal.  They begin shortlisting estate agencies by scrutinising millions of Rightmove listings over 6 months.

Then they look closer at agencies’ performance based on sales and letting results, customer service (via mystery shopping) and website quality.   Winners are split into categories depending on size (single, small, medium, large and national) and services offered (sales, lettings). There are also overall awards for the best estate agency, best letting agency and best branch for sales and lettings.

    The ESTAS Awards

The ESTAS Awards are open to any estate agent who subscribes to the ESTAS review platform.  The awards are given based on clients’ ESTAS reviews, which are graded up to 100% satisfaction based on 5 questions. To be eligible, agencies need a minimum of 15 reviews. To keep these reviews independent, reviewer contact details must be verifiable and agents cannot petition clients for positive reviews.   Ultimately, awards are given out based on two factors: the average % customer service rating achieved, and the frequency of reviews given over a year-long period.

Awards are divided into bronze, silver and gold for sales and lettings across different regions of the UK. Reviews are also specific, with estate agent awards based on the reviews of buyers and sellers, and letting agents divided between those rated by tenants and those rated by landlords.

    The British Property Awards

The British Property Awards are awarded on a town-by-town basis after an independent assessment of estate agents across different areas of the UK.  The award is given after a round of mystery shopping, property data analysis and assessing the online presence of the agent. There is a shortlist of three agents and then a more in-depth mystery shop takes place to define the overall winners.

Since the award is not pay-to-enter and the assessment is entirely independent, it can be considered trustworthy. However, agents may have a tough time understanding The British Property Awards’ criteria. It is not clearly defined on their website, and neither is it clear if winners need to pay a marketing fee.

Awards are divided into bronze, silver and gold across sales and lettings in each local area – regional and national (bronze, silver, gold) awards are also given.

    AllAgents Awards

The AllAgents awards are based upon customer reviews submitted on the AllAgents review platform over a year long period from 1st September – 31st August, so there is no need to apply or pay a fee.  Each review requires the writer to give a 1-5 star rating, leave comments and identify what estate agent services they have used and in what capacity. Reviewers must also be verified via Google account, email or Facebook, and reviews are vetted by AllAgents staff before appearing on the site.   AllAgents have 15 award categories which contain overall winners in each category, as well as regional winners. For example, someone could search for the ‘Best Letting Agent Award’ but narrow down results by postcode to see the gold, silver and bronze winners in a specific area.

Their 15 categories include awards split into sales, lettings, individual branches and agency size. They also have more specific awards for best mortgage advisor, conveyancing agent, franchise and estate manager.

    International Property Awards

The International Property Awards provide estate agents with a wide variety of property awards across a range of countries, giving them an internationally recognised seal of credibility.  Award applications are entered through an initial fee and questionnaire. Entrants are given a portfolio to fill out, which allows them to justify how and why they deserve the award. These portfolios are then submitted to the board of judges who will score the entry within the chosen category.  The requirements for winning awards in different categories are opaque, and are only provided after an application has been made. Since these awards let estate agents make the case for their awards, they should be considered less reliable than awards based purely on customer reviews.

Entry fees can be significant.  There is a large range of award categories available, with varying entry costs. However, if you want to enter your estate agency website for an award, there is no fee at all for the standard package. It is worth looking at the category which suits you best.  Some awards categories include: Letting Agency, Property Agency, Property Agency Marketing, Property Agency Website, Real Estate Agency (including single office, group with 5-20 offices, group with 20+ offices).

    Welsh Estate Agency Awards (WEAA)

The Welsh Estate Agency Awards (WEAA) are the only awards programme dedicated exclusively to the Welsh estate agency sector. Launched in 2025, they celebrate excellence across residential sales, lettings, commercial property and individual achievement throughout Wales. Entries are submitted via an application pack, which is available to download from the WEAA website. Applications are assessed by an independent panel of judges drawn from across the Welsh property industry.

The application process is free to enter and open to any estate or letting agency operating in Wales. Entries are judged on a range of criteria, with nominees announced publicly before the ceremony. The awards cover 15 categories, spanning agency size, sector (sales, lettings, commercial) and individual performance, as well as specialist categories such as Social Media/PR Campaign of the Year and Young Estate Agent of the Year. There is no regional breakdown, it is a national Wales-wide competition.

Winners are announced at a black-tie gala dinner held annually at the Hilton Hotel in Cardiff, typically in the spring. Tickets are £110 per person or £1,000 for a table of ten. Despite only launching in 2025, the WEAA has grown rapidly, with organisers describing the 2026 cycle as their most competitive to date in terms of entry volume and calibre.
For Welsh agents in particular, this is a high-profile, Wales-specific award with genuine media coverage, making it a credible and relevant addition to any agency’s marketing credentials.

FAQs

Are estate agent awards worth entering?

Yes, a credible award gives your agency an independently verified trust signal that’s difficult to replicate through your own marketing. With consumer trust in estate agents consistently low, a recognised award on your website and marketing materials can be the deciding factor for a vendor or landlord choosing between you and a competitor.

Which estate agent award is the most prestigious?

The Negotiator Awards and the Best Estate Agent Guide Awards are widely considered the most prestigious in the UK, due to the rigour of their assessment processes and their long track records. The ESTAS Awards are also highly respected, particularly as they are based entirely on verified client reviews rather than self-submission.

Do I have to pay to enter estate agent awards?

It depends on the programme. The Negotiator Awards, the British Property Awards and the AllAgents Awards are all free to enter, while others – such as the International Property Awards – charge an entry fee. A free-entry process is generally a mark of integrity, since it means winners cannot simply buy their way to recognition.

Can small or independent agencies win estate agent awards?

Yes, many programmes are specifically structured to give smaller agencies a fair chance, with categories based on agency size so independents are not competing directly against national chains. Awards based on client reviews, such as ESTAS and AllAgents, level the playing field further, since a small agency with an outstanding local reputation can outperform a much larger competitor.

How should I use an estate agent award in my marketing?

Display the award logo on your website homepage, valuation pitch materials, window displays and email signature, and make sure it is clearly labelled with the year, as an outdated logo can undermine rather than reinforce credibility. If the organiser issues a public announcement or press release, amplify it through your own social channels to maximise the visibility of the win.
